In this papes analyzed two modern compression standards H.264 and H.265 by the next characteristics: maximum compression ratio, image quality and encoding time. As the result of research was revealed main limitations of the standards and was suggested the direction of developing a new standard, that will not use frame prediction, but reorganise videosignal to the reference model with ability to choose characteristics of new video
