The location of the St. Petersburg Commercial Port on the left-bank territories of the Neva estuary is an element of the urban development tradition of St. Petersburg. The planning structure, the system of unique engineering structures, including the Sea Canal, have been preserved here. The development, created according to the projects of famous architects of the past period, has high historical and cultural value. The renovation of historical architecture does not go without contradictions with modern trends in the functional development of the port, especially in the coastal areas, where the main loading and unloading processes take place
