Over the course of a thousand-year history of development, various types of transport facilities have emerged, disappeared, or been revived. Many industrial and transport infrastructure facilities have lost their current functions, but have historical value. Historical buildings of stables, carriage houses, post stations, tram and railway depots need renovation and repurposing for new current functions. Each of these facilities has its own design and planning features, which can become determining factors when choosing a new purpose.

The planning structure, the system of unique engineering structures, including the Sea Canal, have been preserved here. The development, created according to the projects of famous architects of the past period, has high historical and cultural value.
