  • Comparative analysis of the results of calculation of flat reinforced concrete slabs for punching

When designing flat reinforced concrete slabs, the most complex and responsible structural unit is the area where the slab is supported by the column. This is due to the action of large concentrated efforts and the greatest density of reinforcement. In view of this, the issue of choosing calculation methods that most accurately estimate the punching capacity for suchstructural units is relevant. The article analyzed experimental data for 73 samples of flat reinforced concrete slabs without shear reinforcement from 10 different sources and compared with the results of calculations of the punching shear resistance according to SP 63.13330.2018, EN 1992 Eurocode 2 and Model Code 2010.

  • Monitoring of aerosols in the atmospheric air of settlements

Monitoring of aerosols in the atmospheric air of residential areas of settlements ensures their environmental safety. Aerosol particles are capable of adsorbing various compounds, including metals, on their surface. It is known that heavy metals from the environment can penetrate into the human body and contribute to the development of various diseases. In this connection, their monitoring is relevant to ensure the environmental safety of residential areas of settlements. The purpose of the study was to study the indicators of the number and mass fraction of particles in the Sredneakhtuba district (Sredneakhtuba district, Volgograd region) for the spring-summer of 2019 in comparison with the conditionally clean zone. The material of the study was the leaves of Prunus armeniaca with aerosol particles. Leaves of Prunus armeniaca were placed in a glass container with 250 ml of distilled water, stirred for several minutes with a glass rod to wash particles from the surface of the leaves. As a result, aerosol suspensions were obtained, which were studied in terms of the number of particles and their mass fraction. The results obtained indicate almost the same amount of aerosol particles (PM10) in both territories. In terms of the mass fraction of aerosol particles (PM10), there is a significant excess of them in the experimental area. This fact may indicate the presence of metallic impurities in the aerosols of the residential area of Srednyaya Akhtuba. At the same time, it should be noted that the high values of the number of aerosol particles in the conditionally clean zone cast doubt on its status as a clean zone, since within a radius of 25 km. there is no anthropogenic load on it. The detected values of aerosol particles give grounds to assume the action of a random factor (the introduction of aerosol pollution by transit air), or the action of an unknown natural source of pollution, which requires further research and study of the territory of a conditionally clean zone in combination with geochemical studies, etc.

  • Strength characteristics of polyethylene terephthalate fiber concrete

This article contains the results of a study of the strength characteristics of concrete with the addition of various amounts and shapes of recycled polyethylene terephthalate (PET) fibers. In general, the use of fiber in concrete from waste PET materials (obtained by mechanical grinding), rather than heat-treated, can increase the tensile strength. The compressive strength is reduced. Industrial flex is not recommended to be used as a fiber (additive) in concrete, as this leads to a decrease in strength characteristics. Increased tensile strength is provided through the use of specially prepared PET fiber. The conducted research proved the possibility of using PET fiber in concrete from waste PET materials (obtained by mechanical grinding) PET fiber is recommended for use in concrete structures to increase tensile strength.

  • Polimer concrete with dispersive reinforcement

Polymer concrete is a concrete that uses polybutadiene, a polymer from the liquid rubber family, as a binder, so that it has elastic properties and is extremely resistant to aggressive chemicals, high water repellency and high compressive strength. It does not reveal the destruction typical for ordinary concrete, such as cracking and peeling. It has a high electrical resistance, increased mechanical compressive and tensile strength. In addition, polymer concrete is a durable material with water-repellent properties and resistance to aggressive chemical environments. The proposed polymer concrete uses a conventional aggregate, which is used to produce ordinary concrete, but a polymer is used as a binder. Also, the usage of non-metal composite reinforcement is proposed (APP patent No. 16983646). Below are the results of testing samples with three types of dispersed reinforcement.
