  • Basis for the creation of natural-technical systems (PTS) "The natural environment – object of activity – population" in the use of water resources

The use of water resources to economic activity that is determined a necessity in human existence, all living beings and in almost all technological processes of industrial and agricultural production, fuel and energy complex and other industries, and other activities. At the modern stage of society development at the global level of the system ""Nature–Society–Man"" and the local level of basin geosystems, within which are formed the water resources, there is a strong tendency of the limited water resources within the bounding conditions for further development. Use of water within the local basin geosystems of the southern and Northern Caucasus the river Kuban, Terek and the Upper don, where more than 23 million people. (16.3 per cent of the total population of the Russian Federation)provided by the existing and newly built water system (WS) that in-basin and inter-basin regulation, redistribution of runoff (surface, underground), the selection of a water source and transportation of the estimated costs of water to a particular water user. The aim of the study is to develop a methodology basics of technical theory title of ""environment – Object of activity – Population"" existing in the composition of the WS, in which the main component is man-made hydraulic structures (HS), amending the natural processes of interaction between biotic and abiotic components, requiring a system of quantitative and qualitative assessment.

Keywords: water resources of the basin geosystems, water systems, natural and technological systems, monitoring, environmental safety, the object of activity, ecological conditions, the zone of influence

  • Environmentally responsible economic management saves water and energy resources

The article highlights the issue of conservation of water and energy resources, the dependence of its decision on the environmental responsibility of business entities and tactical goals towards environmental management.  Also the essence of the work carried out in the production of ammophos is described (Hydrometallurgical plant, Lermontov town), which is a good example of solving one of the many tactical tasks in the direction of environmental management. Specific purpose of the work was to identify the savings reserves of energy and natural resources. The application object of the study is the energy-intensive production of ammophos (fertilizer complex of nitrogen and phosphorus compounds), in particular the boiling-down of ammoniated pulp. The load decrease by evaporated water by 75% is achieved the implementation of technical solutions in terms of sealing pumps work (replacing inefficient crevice seal on a metal face seal) installed on the circulation line of ammoniated pulp. This reduces the coolant flow for boiling-down of high pressure steam and drinking water saving, which is the raw material for the production of fluid. Ecological and economic efficiency of the proposed solutions is confirmed by the calculation of the expected technical and economic parameters, performed on the basis of data generated in monitoring: coolant saving - 3039 Gcal / y; 2430 rubles / g; drinking water saving - 11,477 rubles.

  • An improvement of aerocrete production environmental safety

The technological process of aerocrete production consists of many operations during which the considerable amount of dust enters the atmosphere. The results of the dispersion analysis show that the great bulk of the formed dust is made by fine particles to 20 microns. The cyclones used in building industry don't remove the dust effectively. To improve the aerocrete production environmental safety an installation of dust collectors on the oncoming swirl flows is requested.

  • The development of some methods of the working area air purification from crushed limestone dust appearing during the cars’ dump

The level of dust pollution appearing during the dump of cars loaded with crushed limestone is defined. The data on the composition of the dust particles dispersed into the air in the working area during the cars loaded with rubble dump is obtained. The scheme of experimental-industrial dedusting ventilation and the results of its tests are described.

Keywords: system of dedusting ventilation, rubble, dust pollution
